WHITE MOUNTAIN BLACK PATENT OXFORD
Hi Everyone! I am back in Dallas from a quick turn around in Nashville (which I will mention in a bit). Today I wanted to show you these adorable patent oxfords from White Mountain Shoes. White Mountain offered me a pair of shoes from their website, and these were screaming at me! I think they are the perfect (and inexpensive) shoe to add to your wardrobe for a “menswear” kind of feel. They are so comfortable and come with the fun satin bows and regular leather ties to switch out. I am obsessed with the satin ties. They come in burgundy and pewter as well, and have a padded footbed and textured rubber tread to prevent slipping. The shoe completely changes up the blouse I am wearing, as opposed to wearing it with a heel. Ya’ll the price on these shoes is amazing too!
I have always had an affinity for leopard and cheetah print anything (remember here). I really think of them as a neutral. I like the print on my clothing, as well in home decor. It never ever goes out of style. This silk blouse is by Equipment, and I’m sure you have already seen it everywhere. It’s Equipment’s collaboration with Kate Moss. I love how she paired the polka dot tie with the leopard. Just goes to show that you can mix a print with the leopard.
I am also wearing the sweetest Evil Eye ring from Mejuri. Made in sterling silver with rhodium plating for shine and strength. This is a jewelry website new to me, but I love everything they have. A lot of really dainty pieces.
So, I got through my speaking at the Well Placed Smile event Monday night with Scott Hamilton. I don’t even remember what I said, but I do know I was up there for about twenty-five minutes (by myself). I was so impressed with Scott. He is THE nicest man and such a Godly one. There was a woman in the crowd that had just finished treatment for Triple Negative. I was so happy to meet her and know that she was doing okay. You will hear me say this a lot this month, but ladies…get your mammograms!!!
Thank you so much for reading today! xx

Love the WM oxfords- just snagged them at Marshall’s in Westport, CT for $27!!! No satin laces in the box, but I’m sure I can locate some- maybe polka dot or leopard print?

Hey Susan! Lucky you!!! Aren’t they adorable? Finding cute laces should be an easy thing to do. I would go to a fabric store, and get some satin ribbon in black or the print you like. So happy you found them! Thank you for reading the blog!!! xx

Hi Jennifer! Hope all is well with you! Thank you for the kindest words!!! I am rather embarrassed to tell you about how I stay in shape. I am fortunate in that I am naturally thin. I am the same size I have been for years. While that seems great, I have to admit, that I am not an exerciser. Shame on me! I talk about it a lot, but don’t do it. I am actually starting back in Pilates this morning. We will see how long that last! Mentally, I try to get some time away from what I’m doing (this blog). I know it doesn’t seem like so much, but blogging can take up so much time! Photographing, writing, linking, research, instagram…it all adds up. I try to get a massage every few weeks to decompress, or go see my grand babies. I would love to say I sit down and read a book, but that is not happening right now. Spiritually, I don’t get out of my bed without thanking God for my day and health. Then, I read Jesus Calling and 365 Days of Healing. I also add in 1-2 more devotionals on line. I have to start my day that way, or it’s not a good day.
How do you do it all? I would love to know your thoughts on that question!
Thank you so much for the comment! I appreciate it, because it made me sit down and think a minute! I hope you have a great day! xx
