WHAT TO WEAR FOR A GIRL’S NIGHT OUT

Happy Friday Everyone! Hope you have had a great week! I don’t know where mine went, but I am looking at tomorrow and thinking how did this month fly by! We are on our way back to Nashville tomorrow (driving…YUCK), and I swear we just got here (Dallas) yesterday (it’s been a month). Do ya’ll feel like this month has flown by? Anyway…I hope you all remember my precious friend Debby of Fashionomics (prior post with her HERE). She is like an old shoe, and I mean that in the best possible way! I love this girl so much, and could go on and on about her. What you need to know, is that she is beautiful inside and out, and so much fun! We wanted to do a post on what to wear on a girl’s night out. Since the holidays are quickly approaching (take a deep breath, I can feel the anxiety) we thought we would pick our favorite trends and touch on those. Tootsies in Dallas was so gracious to let us play dress up!

I am wearing a black and white silk top from Alice and Olivia. Black and white always seemed to be a spring and summer thing to me, but there is so much in the combo being shown for fall and winter. Lots of white blouses with black ties too, as in this cute top. The fur is TO DIE FOR!!! This is by a brand called Cinq a Sept. I kid you not, when we shot this last week, it was 100 degrees and I was not the least bit hot in the shade in this jacket. The fur is so soft, and the black and white mixed together is so fun and fresh. Whether you wear real or faux fur, the trend is still so big for the fall and winter. Anything fur in a jacket, vest or scarf can add so much fun to a plain outfit. The velvet jeans are by J. Brand. I am obsessed with velvet and these are so comfy. If I had to choose one thing to add to my wardrobe this season, it would be something in velvet! Don’t be afraid to wear head to toe black and white like I am. You can always add a punch of color with a handbag or shoe. How fun are these sunglasses. Debby said I looked like an emoji! Back to the drive to Nashville. I am headed back to speak at an event on Monday night ( I will be doing a post on that a bit later), but heading back to Dallas on Tuesday. I have several commitments here, so I will be staying for another month. What I haven’t told you all (because you all are going to think we are cray cray, and we might just be), is that we just put our house on the market in Nashville to move back to Dallas full time. Yes, we have only been living there for almost 1 1/2 years, but our family is here, and I can’t stand to be a way from them. We jumped too fast and should have never done it. Anyway, we got a contract on our house, and if things all go to plan, we will be back in Dallas for good by the first of December. We are putting everything into storage, and living in our condo for at least a year. My poor husband is the best sport, and is doing this for me. He’s a trooper and the best! I am a lot to handle I guess!
